UK Cyber Security Association’s CEO & Founder Lisa Ventura Wins “Cyber Security Personality of the Year” category in this year’s Cyber Security Awards

 

Worcester, United Kingdom, Monday 8th July 2019: Lisa Ventura, CEO & Founder of the UK Cyber Security Association, has been honoured as the winner of the “Cyber Security Personality of the Year” category at the Annual Cyber Security Awards 2019. The winners were honoured at the Cyber Security Awards Dinner and Presentation at the Park Plaza, Victoria Hotel on Thursday 4th July 2019

The Cyber Security Awards were established in 2014, to reward the best individuals, teams and companies within the cyber security industry. Excellence and innovation are core themes, throughout all categories. With independent, industry leading judges, companies are awarded solely on merit.

The “Personality of the Year” award category was sponsored by Cyber Talks, and Lisa was proud to stand alongside other key cyber security leading professionals in the UK. Lisa took home this prestigious award for her pioneering work as CEO & Founder of the UK Cyber Security Association and her contribution to the cyber security industry as a writer/blogger and thought leader.

Judge Karla Reffold said: “2019 was the best and most competitive year to date. All the categories has outstanding entries, representing the very best the industry has to offer. To win is a huge achievement as there are now so many accomplished people and organisations within cybersecurity.”

I entered the cyber security industry in 2009 and over the years I’ve seen it grow and develop as many look at to developing new ways to keep us safe from the growing cyber threat. In my capacity as CEO & Founder of the UK Cyber Security Association I work tirelessly to raise as much awareness as possible as to the importance of cyber security – not just at board level but for all employees of businesses and the general public too. Cyber security really is everyone’s responsibility and the more that can be done to help educate people as to the importance of it, the better equipped the UK will be to combat the growing cyber threat.”
