Press Release: Immediate
UK Cyber Security Association’s CEO & Founder Lisa Ventura Selected as a Finalist in Three Categories in the 2020 Cyber Security Awards
Worcester, United Kingdom, Monday 10 August 2020: Lisa Ventura, CEO & Founder of the UK Cyber Security Association, is pleased to announce that she has been selected as finalist in three categories in the 2020 Cyber Security Awards – “Personality of the Year”, “Woman of the Year” and “Cloud Security Influencer of the Year”.
The Cyber Security Awards were established in 2014, to reward the best individuals, teams and companies within the cyber security industry. Excellence and innovation are core themes, throughout all categories. The Cyber Security Awards team reviews the industry, looking for the best possible applicants. They encouraged all those who are committed to progressing the industry to apply. Organisations and people from all over the world submitted applications including public and private, for-profit and non-profit, largest to smallest and new start-ups, as long as they have a presence within the United Kingdom.
The winners this year will be announced in a virtual ceremony held on September 10 at 5pm, BST.
Speaking of the news that she is a finalist in three categories, Lisa Ventura, CEO & Founder of the UK Cyber Security Association, said: “To be selected as a finalist in three categories in this year’s Cyber Security Awards is a huge honour and I’m proud to be chosen to represent the best of the cyber security industry in this way along with some of the most leading and influential people who are also in the industry – last year I was humbled and honoured to win the “Personality of the Year” category. I entered the cyber security industry when it was in its infancy in 2009 when I was PR & Marketing Director and the Chief Operating Officer of a leading Worcester based cyber security software development company, and over the years I’ve seen the industry grow and develop as many look to develop new ways to keep us safe from the growing cyber threat.”
Organiser Christina Price said “despite the challenges of 2020, we have received a record number of entries. The quality was very high and I know there are many disappointed companies who did not make the shortlist this year. Those that have been selected as finalists should be incredibly pleased with their achievement and know that competition to be win will be tough!”
